I first heard Mannequin Pussy in April 2018 when their live version of Denial played on Spotify. I can't quite remember why, maybe it was through an artist radio or suggested songs when I occasionally went back to my punk-listening roots, perhaps a play of divine intervention in a quite horrible year for me; nonetheless I added the song to my liked playlist and there it sat alone, occasionally coming on shuffle. It wasn't until mid-2019 when something sparked me to check out their artist profile only to see they had a new album released only a month-prior! That album was Patience and from there I fell in love. I listened to their entire discography and began keeping up to date on their shows, socials, and other news. Although I consider myself a 'casual' fan, I regard MP with incredible appreciation and love and consider them to be one of my most favourite bands ever (which is sorta the reason for this page y'know...)
